uLARS, our patented unmanned launch and recovery system for autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), makes it possible to transfer data and charge the AUV whilst still submerged . An opportunity of utilizing multiple AUVs from one vessel (manned or unmanned) at the same time is possible! Time saved, costs saved.
DATA SHARING
The world lacks detailed geological information about what lies beneath the blue planet's enormous sea surface. Only a small part of the worlds seabed has been mapped. In cooperation with our clients, we want to motivate for open source data sharing.
MORE DATA AT LOWER COSTS
With the utilization of our unmanned launch and recovery system (uLARS) underwater charging and data transfer of and from an AUV makes it possible to harvest more data and increase survey periods. The uLARS enables the use of multiple untethered AUVs (autonomous underwater vehicles) simultaneously, with the result of collecting data from significantly larger areas in much shorter periods of time, with absolutely no compromise in data quality.
LESS HAZARD TO PERSONELL
USEA eliminates all human exposure to offshore hazards by using a fully autonomous and unmanned system. Preparations are undertaken on shore, and the operations are supervised from a ROC (remotely operated centre). USEA puts health and safety first.
GREENER FOOTPRINT
Our unmanned surface vessels (USVs) are light and consume 10 times less energy than a typical offshore vessel on the same operation. Our aim is to use zero-emission energy carriers, but from the start our operations are more than 100 to 500 times greener than traditional alternatives. Designed with future use of hydrogen the vessels will be carbon emission free. For the interim period we reduce the carbon emissions by 92%.
