Marine mineral and geophysical seabed mapping
USEA Ocean Data utilize Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV) as the primary sensor carrier to conduct seabed mapping. The AUV platform is enabling high detail mapping, providing a stable platform for the survey sensors, and enabling data collection at an optimal depth for detailed surveys. The platform makes it possible to map large areas and deliver high detail in large water depths.
Bathymetric and hydrographic survey
The unmanned surface vehicle (USV) is a capable platform for mapping sensors. The survey gondola of the USV is designed to hold deep water Multi-Beam Echo-Sounders (MBES) as well as shallow water MBES systems and parametric Sub Bottom Profiler (SBP) systems. In combination with autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV) as sensor carriers, this enables USEA Ocean Data to offer data at optimized resolution to a wide variety of surveys at different water depths.
Pipeline and cable inspection
Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV) are used for efficient mapping of external conditions of pipelines or cables and the seabed in close proximity of these. The stable platform of an AUV makes it ideal to carry sensors for this inspection. The survey speed ensures efficient data collection. Advanced navigation algorithms ensure that the AUV stays at an optimized height and distance from the pipeline or cable during data collection.
